AIGA adds Mx Title

Good news -- my.aiga.org now allows you to choose the gender-neutral title Mx. On the 2nd of October I suggested they add the feature, and three days later the feature has been implemented.
You can find the title drop down menu under "my account" > "contact information".
If you have not heard of this title yet, that may be because it's not experienced wide usage in your area yet. The title has existed at least since 1977, its first recorded usage, but it has really gained traction in the UK where it is currently used by government departments, councils, banks, some universities, the Royal Mail and on driving licenses. As of 2015, it is now also listed in the Oxford English dictionary.

Head on over and take advantage of this title if it suits you, or just take the time to make sure your AIGA account is up to date on everything. Happy designing.
